Funding source: Ministry of Education and Culture

Budget €300 000

The project aims to provide high-quality open ICT education to refugees in Finland. While it was initially opened with Ukrainian refugees as the primary focus group, the studies are available to anyone interested. University of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences implement the courses and the Open University administrates the studies and provides certificates for students. The content is based on the existing curriculum of the participating universities and is heavily focused on programming and application development. The courses utilize digital learning tools to provide high-quality education remotely and with flexible schedules but still provide necessary personal support to help in completing the courses.
