Lab Budget: 80 000 €

The GeoICT4e project stands at the forefront of integrating geospatial science and ICT into Tanzania’s educational and socio-ecological landscape. This initiative is sculpting a new era of skilled educators and researchers equipped with the latest in geospatial technology to tackle real-world challenges. By transforming teaching contents and methods, and through effective use of GIS/ICT research facilities, we are enhancing the capabilities within Tanzania’s higher education institutions.

Central to our mission is the cultivation of robust partnerships among universities, stakeholders, and the wider community. These collaborations extend across public, private, and civil sectors, fostering a dynamic GIS/ICT business ecosystem and ensuring our graduates are ready to meet the private sector’s needs. The GeoICT4e project is more than an educational program; it’s a catalyst for sustainable development, leveraging technological innovations for societal benefit.

Through education, innovation, and collaboration, the GeoICT4e project is dedicated to empowering Tanzania’s journey towards a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
